Extremism creates fear

Radicalism, and Reactionism both fall under the umbrella of extremism. Extremism is inherently hostile to the status quo, and claims that it is justified to disrupt the lives of many. This apprehension often justifies the Banality of modern violence, to counter (often sensationalized) objects of Fear and Terror.
